Adobe Dropped 70 Tools Into Slack. Creative Left the Studio.

Adobe just wired Firefly, Photoshop, Premiere, Express, and more than 70 other tools into Slackbot.

Not a plugin. An MCP app. You type the brief in the thread. Slackbot reads the channel, pulls Creative Cloud assets, and ships a variation before the client finishes "can we also try..."

That is the news from September 2. The implication is louder.

What actually shipped

Adobe for Slack is live for Business+ and Enterprise+ teams. Slackbot now calls Firefly, Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Stock, Lightroom, and Express from the same conversation where the brief already lives.

It can turn a thread or a Canvas into a PDF, image, or video. It can search the library by subject, style, or mood. Adobe already plugged the same stack into ChatGPT last month. Gemini is next.

Same 48 hours, Anthropic cut cache reads on Claude Fable 5.1 by 75 percent. Heavily agentic work is up to 45 percent cheaper. Production just got faster and cheaper in the same week.

Where marketing actually breaks

Most marketing teams still treat creative like a ticket. Brief in Slack. File in Drive. Comp in Figma. Recut in Photoshop. Upload to Ads Manager. Then someone pastes a link back into the original thread and the context is already dead.

That loop is the tax.

When the model can read the brief, the last approved asset, and the client's "make it warmer" comment in one place, the bottleneck is no longer generation. It is taste, brand memory, and who is allowed to hit send.

If your AI marketing stack is still "write copy in ChatGPT, then hop to six other tabs," you are running last year's workflow on this week's tools.

What we will try this week

  1. One live campaign channel. Brief, references, and first-pass variants stay in the same thread.

  2. Approved masters only. Slackbot resizes. Humans decide.

  3. A 30-minute brand pack before anyone prompts Firefly from chat. Color, type, banned looks, must-use lines.

Finish one campaign this way before you buy another tool. The software already moved into the conversation. The work should follow.
