AI Is the Intern Now. Smart Agencies Stop Acting Like One.

Jensen Huang just congratulated OpenAI on GPT-6 Astra and said AGI has arrived. Four labs dumped new models in seven days. Then design leaders said the thing agencies keep dodging: firms are using AI as the intern in the office, not as a replacement for skilled staff.

Cool headline week. The brief is different.

What actually shipped

  • OpenAI released GPT-6 Astra with real computer use, coding, and cybersecurity. They called it the start of the AGI era.

  • Anthropic shipped Claude Fable 5.1 and Mythos 5.1, cheaper cache reads, tighter knowledge work.

  • Google dropped Gemini 3.8 Flash. That is the fourth Flash model in four months.

  • Meta put Muse Spark 1.3 into the cheap frontier seat.

  • Nvidia agreed to buy Hugging Face for $12.9 billion and said the platform stays open.

Model fatigue is real. Rebuilding your agency stack every Tuesday is not a strategy. I am not swapping tools because a press release landed. I am watching what actually ships work.

The marketing + AI problem nobody wants to own

The marketing problem is not which model won the week. It is that most teams handed the intern the brand book and walked away.

Google is auto-migrating Search campaigns into AI Max. ChatGPT Ads already crossed a billion-dollar annualised run rate. Answer engines now sit between your brand and the buyer. That is not a creative trend. That is a media shift.

If you treat Astra like a copy machine, you get intern work at intern quality, shipped at production volume. Categories start looking the same. Clients feel it before dashboards do.

Here is how we are running it at Dzine Prodigy.

LAYER 1 — intern work. First drafts. Twenty ad variations. Research dumps. Cutdowns. Volume that used to burn a junior week.

LAYER 2 — human work. The brief. Taste. Brand judgment. What actually ships. The part a model still cannot own without you.

The agencies that win this quarter will not be the ones with the newest model. They will be the ones with a system that tells the intern what done looks like.

Do this this week

Pick one live campaign. Generate ten variations. Kill eight. Ship two with a human brief on top. Measure against last month's winner, not against a demo reel.

That is the job now. AI is the intern. Stop acting like one.
